Catalytic Converters

Catalytic converters change harmful substances in a car’s exhaust gasses, such as carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and hydrocarbons, into less harmful substances like carbon dioxide and water vapor by means of chemical reactions.

Don’t take an emissions test until you’ve replaced a bad catalytic converter. If your catalytic converter is clogged or damaged in other ways, please replace it immediately.
